Banana Oat Porridge for Chilly Mornings
Good (chilly) morning! Even though I’m living in sunny Barcelona, it is wintertime and it is very cold. You know when you wake up and you know outside of the bed sheets its freezing so you just do not want to get up? That’s how it’s been for the past few months here… I believe my friends in Australia are going through the opposite effect.
Anyway, on mornings like this having something warm to eat for breakfast is welcoming and comforting, something like a warm oat porridge. This one has bananas to which gives it some sweetness and has a nice texture that goes well with porridge.
We need: 1 cup oats, 1 banana, 1/2 teaspoon sugar, cinnamon, 1/4 cup water, 3/4 cup milk.
Put the oats, water, milk, sugar and cinnamon in a saucepan and heat until it boils. Cook ant stir for about two minutes and it should start becoming a porridgy texture. Cut the banana in slices and add to the porridge. Stir and cook for another minute.
